Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon:

Each year we express our thankfulness for our members and friends by serving a traditional Thanksgiving feast. You may expect turkey with all the trimmings! Cost $6. Please reserve your seat early by calling 860-844-5352.
TRIPS:
All riders, regardless of number of uses, must have a valid van card.
Van cards are $10 annually, renewable in September.
Chrysanthemum Show at the Lyman Conservatory: Monday, November 9 at 9:30 a.m.
Located on the Smith College campus, the Conservatory houses a magnificent collection of chrysanthemums, tropicals, and a special bamboo exhibit. Cost $5 includes transportation and entry fee.
Shoppes of the Farmington Valley: Tuesday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m.
Visit Kohl's, Cold Water Creek, Dick's, Old Navy and more. Treat yourself to ice cream at Ben & Jerry's or enjoy hot soup at Panera Bread. Cost $2 for the ride.
IKEA: Tuesday, November 17 at 9:30 a.m.
Take the opportunity to pick up new cookware or pretty linens for the holidays. The store is full of functional items for your home. The Swedish meatballs at the cafe make for a yummy lunch, too! Cost $2 for the ride.
Farm Stand and Orchard Tour: Wednesday, November 25 at 10:00 a.m.
Pick up fresh, local produce for all of your favorite Thanksgiving recipes. There will be a stop for lunch, too. Cost $2 for the ride.
OUTINGS CLOSER TO HOME:
Taste of the Valley: The third Monday of the month join fellow culinary adventurers as  they try out area restaurants. Call 844-5352 to sign up. Cost: $2 for van transportation. Lunch prices vary but are usually between $10-$15. Reservations at 12:30 p.m.

December 21: Yarde House Tavern
Blue Fox Rock 'n Bowl: Friday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m.
Bowl a few games and have pizza for lunch. This is a non-competitive group that has a great time! Cost: $12, includes bowling, shoe rental, pizza and van service.

Walmart/Target (East Windsor): Tuesday, November 19
Ocean State/Big Y: Thursday, November 12
Grocery Shopping: Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Medical/Dental/Personal Care Appointments:
Local appointments (Granby, East Granby, Simsbury) may be scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays and medical appointments out of the area may be scheduled for Fridays. The Senior Van is equipped with a wheelchair lift for added accessibility. Please call Nancy Grakowsky, Transportation Coordinator at 844-5353, one week in advance for scheduling.
